heather shropshire property searchHeather Poole-Gleed had a wide range of business experience before setting up her own company. She had already worked in administration, as a medical secretary and also as a conference organiser, when she and her husband decided to buy and run a small manufacturing business.  This precious business experience combined with her existing organisational skills gave Heather the confidence she needed to embark on her own business project, and an interest in property inspired her to investigate the viability of establishing a related business, Shropshire Property Search, in May 2004.

After successfully growing the business for a number of years, in 2016 Heather was asked to join the Executive Board of IPSA (The Association of Independent Personal Search Agents) and went on to become a Director, Treasurer and Company Secretary of IPSA in February 2017. After seven successful years in these roles, Heather was delighted to be appointed to the role of Chief Executive of IPSA in March 2024. Although demanding of her time, Heather is immensely proud of this role and the challenges it brings, but in particular enjoys the opportunities it brings to share experiences with other like-minded search professionals.

Since 2017, Heather has been ably assisted in the office by husband Chris who has taken on some of the administration roles including book-keeping, ordering of ancillary searches and researching property history.  This work fits in very well with his recent appointment as a Retained Firefighter as he can be on his bike and at the local Fire Station within minutes to assist with whatever emergency the service has been called to.
